All Souls Day

We were not able to visit my dad and my grandparents yesterday so we went today. There are still a lot of people but I heard it was not as many as yesterday. (Living in a predominantly Catholic country, we take All Saints Day and All Souls Day seriously.) We lighted a candle, put some flowers and offered prayers for our dearly departed. And though a lot of traditions have changed over the years, there are still some that manage to survive in spite of the technological advances and progress.

And one of them is being together with family and remembering those who are not in this world anymore and recognizing the part they played in our lives.
