Another school week is over. I am having a little difficulty this year because my students have become younger due to the implementation of the K to 12 program. My patience is tested, so are my skills and classroom management skills.
This week had been much better than the previous ones since I am getting to know my kids better. I am now more sure of what to do and what needs to be done. I have also managed to create a predictable routine so I am slowly going back to my comfort zone.
The kids enjoyed making and wearing a skull mask when we studied about the skeletal system. Some of them were scared, blame horror movies for using skeletons as objects of fear. I have explained that we all have bones and how funny humans will look if they don’t have them.
They also had fun making different shapes out of their bodies. With a little help, they formed triangles, squares, and rectangles on the floor.
Day by day, step by step, I am getting my groove back.
