I long for the days when me and my friends used to hold picnics by the river.
We would pool in what little money we have and buy a bag of Pan de sal and some powdered juice. If we have a little extra, we’ll buy butter or cheese. Then we would happily share that simple snack as we exchange stories, sometimes funny, other times scary, and most of the time silly. After that we will play tag or just walk around catching dragonflies.
It was such a happy and innocent time.
Now we have all grown up. Some of our friends have their own kids to look after. As we all rush daily, meeting deadlines, earning money, taking on responsibilities – all we can do is look back on those times.
